Islamic theology

**Islamic theology** refers to the study and interpretation of the beliefs, doctrines, and teachings of Islam. This field encompasses the exploration of key theological concepts such as the nature of God (Allah), prophethood, divine revelation (Qur’an and Hadith), the afterlife, and the principles of faith (Iman). Islamic theology also involves discussions on the attributes of God, predestination, free will, and the relationship between reason and revelation. Scholars of Islamic theology, known as theologians or mutakallimun, use various methods of rational discourse and scriptural analysis to understand and explain the core tenets of Islam and address theological questions within the Muslim community.
